Karen Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in private practice in TEANECK, NEW JERSEY and is committed to the well being of her clients.
As an experienced psychodynamic therapist, and as a graduate of New York University specializing in adolescents, adults, and couples, she works with a broad spectrum of issues. Among her areas of expertise are working with relationship issues and the parents of children with special needs, including but not limited to those with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum and with Juvenile Diabetes. In addition, she works extensively with seniors, focusing on their wisdom, character, confidence, and strengths.
Karen helps people to recognize the origin of their emotional distress and empowers them to garner their strengths to overcome unexpected life circumstances and gain a deeper level of personal insight necessary to facilitate positive change.
Karen works with people who are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, and people seeking self-empowerment and self-esteem. She utilizes an eclectic and individualized approach to accomodate the needs of each client.
